Ornella Molon Traverso was created from the passion of two entrepreneurs who were dedicated to farming with the aim of producing very individual, unique and unrepeatable wines. From 1982 until today Ornella Molon Traverso has become consistently pursuing a policy based on quality, an important reality that has captured increasing market share, winning prestigious national and international awards.

Grapes Used: 100% Merlot
Style: The quality of the grapes, the vinification process which carefully respects and preserves the characteristics of the plant in terms of stylishness and structure - the ageing techniques and the quality of the types of wood used have made MERLOT a wine with a distinctive structure and a charming, velvety, seductive flavour.
Vinification: The grapes arestripped and crushed, then macerated for around 20 days, with daily delestage. Malolactic fermentation is completed after alcohol fermentation in barrels.
Ageing: In French oak barrels for 18 months, followed by bottling and further ageing in the bottle.
Vintage: 2005
Alcohol: 13.0%
Bottle Size: 0.75l
Colour: Ruby-red in colour, darkening towards garnet as the wine ages.
Taste: Crisp, full-bodied, well-orchestrated flavour, with just the right amount of tannin.
Aroma: Intense, vinous aroma typical of varietal wines, become increasingly pleasant as the wine matures.
