Lemons Rocca Imperiale IGP
Intense yellow, enveloping aroma, strong taste. The IGP lemon grown in Rocca Imperiale, in the heart of Calabria, is one of the most popular citrus fruits in Southern Italy. Cultivated for centuries, since the Renaissance it has been known as the “Antico” or “Nostrano di Rocca Imperiale” lemon.
The name "Limone di Rocca Imperiale" was born in 2001 when the lemon growers of the Calabrian village came together in a consortium to protect the yellow treasure. A decidedly fruitful unit that led in 2011, ten years later, to the recognition of the PGI, the protected geographical indication that protects and enhances the place of origin where the fragrant golden-colored fruits grow luxuriantly.
