Principe Pallavicini

The noble Pallavicini family has been in the Lazio Region since the 1600. The long history of one of Italy's most celebrated families of the last century produced a succession of socially prominent figures: princes, top prelates, and respected diplomats. The most famous red wine is Moroello which is oaked for one year and then matured in bottles in a recently restored ancient grotto. Other equally famous ancient red wines are Amarasco and Rubillo made with cesanese grape. The most well known white wine is obviously "Frascati", it is surely the most famous in the Lazio area. Principe Pallavicini produces two types, among which "Poggio Verde" is the best.
