The Solonio company belongs to the Estates Genagricola. The vineyards are situated in the municipality of the ancient Roman city of Lanuvio where the wines for the inhabitants of the city of Rome were produced.
If in the last few decades the cultivation of grapes had favoured white wine grapes like Malvasia and Trebbiano, now the great qualitative potential of red wine grapes such as the ancient Cesanese and the Montepulciano and international varieties such as Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet sauvignon were being discovered.
