This book is the first Italian cookbook for Hong Kong residents, born by the desire of Aira Sasso to provide a practical guide to making the experience of cooking Italian food an easier one in Hong Kong. The book includes useful local addresses, a description of the wet markets (where and what to buy), a language survival guide, and special sections dedicated to the local noodle shops and understanding the local fish.
From her childhood home in Milan, to the romantic Amalfi Coast and the rugged heartland of Sicily, Aira invites us to join her on her travels around Italy, taking in her favourite landscapes and visiting some inspirational kitchens along the way. She shares her love of each region and its unique cuisine, peppering her descriptions with personal and fascinating anecdotes from her travels.
