INGREDIENTS: 250 gr of flour - 150 g of sugar - 3 eggs - 100 g of butter - 1/2 cup of milk - 1 untreated orange - 1 tablespoon baking powder - a pinch of salt - a little orange marmalade

PREPARATION: Beat the egg yolks slowly adding sugar until mixture is well swollen. Add the sifted flour gradually diluting the mixture with the milk. Then add the melted butter in a double boiler, the grated rind and the juice of the orange. Combine the white of the egg gently (previously whites) with a pinch of salt and finally the packet of yeast dissolved in a little milk. Pour the mixture into a rectangular mold, which instead of being buttered can be covered with parchment paper, alternating layers of a few spoonfuls of jam. Bake at 180 ° - 200 ° for 50-60 minutes. Still warm sprinkle with powdered sugar.
