Pinot Grigio Ramato DOC

HK$270

This pinot grigio by Le vigne di Zamò will first surprise you with its particular flavour obtained from the maceration of the skins. The grapes are de-stemmed and left to macerate cold overnight. After that, the pressing and alcoholic fermentation are carried out in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. After 8 months of aging sur-lies, the wine is bottled and marketed.

The Zamò family have a long history as wine-lovers. In 1924 Luigi Zamò – father of Tullio, grandfather of Pierluigi and Stefano – opened a restaurant in Manzano in the Province of Udine. This was followed by the purchase of vineyards in areas which have traditionally produced the best Friulian wines. Nearly a century later, having won numerous awards and widespread esteem, the company can show off its innovative aspect in its impressive new underground cellar facilities, but its vocation for traditional goodness remains the same.
